Tiger Shark

G-Line (Guide Line) speed plane from 1939.  36 inch wing span.  World's first single line control model airplane.  "B" & "C" engine.

This plane was made from full size plans.  Construction materials consisted of balsa sticks, sheets and blocks, hardwood firewall and engine mounts and misc. wire parts. 

Plane was covered with heavy grade silk-span and painted with several coats of clear and colored nitrate dope. 

A complete ignition system consisting of a coil condenser, battery box, etc., has been installed.  Front section of plane (with ignition tray) can be removed from fuselage for inspection and maintenance.

Engine is a Herkimer O.K. 60 with a wood propeller that was HAND CARVED by Victor Stanzel.
